I'm so happy I found Author Tammy Grace! I love her writing...she really knows how to engage her readers right from the start and make them feel like they are part of the action! Her characters are amazing...I just love Coop! The Cooper Harrington Detective Novels are my kind of books! The first in the series, Killer Music, will grab you by the reigns and pull you in. The cover immediately caught my interest (because I love books with animals) and I love mysteries. :-) I'll let you read the plot description for yourself so I do not accidentally give anything away 😉, but I'm telling you, you're going to really enjoy it. Whenever I finish a book that I love, I always feel like It's a vacation that ended too soon. Not in this case, though, because lucky for me, I was able to immediately move on to Book 2! Vacation extended: Woohooo! Thank you, Tammy Grace, for filling my summer with excitement (after all, your books are the only vacation I get this summer...hehee!). To follow Cooper (Coop) Harrinton's utilization of his ring tone, The Theme From Perry Mason, a famous movie and television series, the book read to me like watching an episode, which in my home was 'never' missed!Coop attends a fundraiser with his current Lady. The fundraiser has an assortment of notables from the Nashville, Tennessee. Musicians, Legislatures, etc. all flow together and enjoy the music and food selections amid galleries of art. Coop finds a couple having an argument. Then, he later sees the male move on to other loud arguments, finally, he sees him somewhat lurking around the appetizer section of the buffet table. What is that man's story?Well, when a body is found the next morning by the venue's gardeners...Coop is destined to learn just that fact.Coop Harrington has inherited his Uncle's detective agency. Although Coop is a lawyer, he worked with his uncle for years and finds the agency a good fit for himself and his pal, Gus, a golden retriever.As in Perry Mason, you get the feeling that his secretary/right arm, Annabelle (AB) would like to be closer to Coop but he is blind to it. Unlike Perry Mason, Coop is close friends with the Chief of Police and joins him in finding who the killer is.I enjoyed the tale and was interested in who and why the killer murdered this one man. Interesting novel.
